Arunachal CM Pema Khandu Attends Post-Nyokum Yullo Celebration Hosted by Nyishi Elite Society

Itanagar: Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, Pema Khandu, on Sunday evening attended a post-festival gathering celebrating Nyokum Yullo at Jullang.


The event was hosted by the Nyishi Elite Society and brought together members of the Nyishi community to celebrate their rich traditions and cultural heritage.


Addressing the gathering, Khandu described the event as a warm and meaningful occasion that highlighted the importance of community bonding and the collective commitment to preserving the customs and traditions of the Nyishi people.

He also expressed gratitude to the Nyishi Elite Society for the hospitality extended during the celebration and lauded the organisation’s efforts in promoting and safeguarding indigenous culture in the state.


Nyokum Yullo is one of the most significant festivals of the Nyishi community in Arunachal Pradesh, symbolising prayers for prosperity, harmony, and the well-being of society. Community leaders and residents participated in the post-festival celebration, reaffirming their commitment to protecting their cultural identity and traditions.
