Assam to Become One of India’s Greatest States by 2047: Himanta Biswa Sarma

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday said that the vision of a developed India by 2047, as envisioned by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will pave the way for Assam to emerge as one of the leading states in the country. "A" for Assam is not just a speech but a Model or Exemplary and goals of people of Assam for becoming the best state in the country as part of Viksit Bharat by 2047, said Himanta Biswa Sarma.

Speaking about the long-term national vision, Sarma said that the Prime Minister dreams of building a strong and prosperous India by 2047, when the nation will complete 100 years of independence. According to him, the country is set to transform into a fully developed nation on the global stage under this vision.

The Chief Minister expressed confidence that Assam will play a significant role in this transformation and will emerge as one of the greatest states in India through rapid development and progress.


He further noted that the ongoing development initiatives and policy reforms are aimed at strengthening the state’s economy, infrastructure, and overall growth in alignment with the national goal of Viksit Bharat 2047.
