Rajnath Singh Inaugurates Phase 2 of Lucknow Green Corridor, Lays Foundation for Phase 3 & 4

Lucknow: Rajnath Singh on Saturday inaugurated Phase 2 of the Green Corridor project in Lucknow and laid the foundation stones for Phase 3 and Phase 4, marking a significant step in the city’s infrastructure development.

Congratulating the residents of Lucknow, Singh said the project would greatly benefit the public by improving connectivity and reducing travel time across the city.

The Green Corridor project, which spans around 28 kilometres, has been developed at an estimated cost of ₹7,710 crore. According to Singh, the corridor will connect the city’s major road networks, including Shaheed Path and Kisan Path, while also linking the two ring roads, thereby easing traffic congestion and facilitating smoother movement across the city.

He noted that the new corridor would significantly reduce travel time and help commuters avoid frequent traffic jams.

On the occasion, Singh also honoured several workers who contributed to the construction and development of the project. Expressing his gratitude, he praised the labourers for their dedication and hard work in turning the project into reality.

The Green Corridor is expected to strengthen urban mobility in Lucknow and support the city’s expanding infrastructure needs.
