Tripura Budget Session for 2026–27 Begins with Governor’s Address

Agartala: The Budget Session of the 13th Tripura Legislative Assembly for the financial year 2026–27 commenced on its opening day with an address by the Governor of the state.


Tripura Cabinet Minister Santana Chakma attended the first day of the session, which began with a speech delivered by the Governor of Tripura, Indrasena Reddy Nallu.

The Governor’s address traditionally outlines the government’s key policies, development priorities, and legislative agenda for the coming year. The budget session is expected to witness discussions on major governance issues, development programmes, and the presentation of the state’s budget for the upcoming financial year.

The session of the Tripura Legislative Assembly will include debates on various policy matters and proposals aimed at strengthening development initiatives across the state.


Minister Santana Chakma stated that she participated in the first day of the proceedings and highlighted the importance of the budget session in shaping policy direction and ensuring the welfare and development of the people of Tripura.
