Tripura Budget Allocates ₹914.82 Crore for TTAADC, Focus on Tribal Development


Agartala, March 17: Highlighting a strong push for inclusive growth, the Cabinet Minister Smt. Santana Chakma has welcomed key allocations in the Tripura Budget 2026–27 aimed at empowering indigenous communities.

According to the budget, the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC) has been allocated ₹914.82 crore. Additionally, a substantial ₹7,542.06 crore has been earmarked under the Tribal Sub-Plan, accounting for nearly 39.39% of the total development expenditure.

Emphasising the vision of a “Developed Tribe, Developed Tripura,” Chakma stated that the budget reflects the government’s firm commitment to inclusive development and equal opportunities for all sections of society.

The announcement underlines the state’s broader agenda of building a “New Tripura” with a focus on equitable growth, especially for tribal communities.
