Zakir Hussain Laskar, rakash Chandra Das Join AGP in Guwahati, Strengthening Party Ranks



Guwahati, March 17: In a significant political development, Hailakandi constituency MLA Zakir Hussain Laskar and former student leader Prakash Chandra Das formally joined the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP) on Tuesday.

The joining ceremony took place at Ambari in Guwahati in the presence of senior party leaders, including AGP Executive President and Assam Minister Keshav Mahanta. The event marked a notable boost for the regional party as it continues to expand its base ahead of upcoming political challenges.

Welcoming the new entrants, Assam Agriculture Minister and senior AGP leader Atul Bora expressed confidence that their inclusion would further strengthen the party organization and grassroots connect.

Several party workers and leaders were also present during the programme, underscoring the importance of the induction within AGP’s broader political strategy in the state.
